The Government of the City of Mesquite exists to serve the residents of Mesquite and the Information Technology Department assists in providing those services.
Through coordinated efforts with all City departments, the Information Technology Division will implement and maintain quality information technology that effectively and efficiently delivers government services in an affordable manner.
The IT Department is tasked with developing, implementing and supporting information technology. Customer service is at the center of the task.
Maintaining communications infrastructure is a high priority.
The IT Department assists the City employees in understanding technology and using it to improve the services to the community. IT will continue to provide and promote high quality technology solutions to the City of Mesquite and its residents.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS): Oversee the City mapping information. Create maps and map applications to provide this information to City Employees as well as to the Citizens.
